La Tavola di San Giuseppe Returns to the Table
On March 19, MARQUEE Signature Events brought a centuries-old tradition to life with La Tavola di San Giuseppe — St. Joseph’s Table, an intimate Cultural Chef’s Dinner Experience held at Selah Restaurant.
Rooted in Sicilian history, the St. Joseph’s Table honors a time of famine when communities gathered in gratitude after their prayers were answered. What began as a promise to feed those in need has evolved into a powerful tradition centered on abundance, hospitality, and shared experience — values that align closely with MARQUEE’s approach to community-centered events.
This event also marked the return of MARQUEE Signature Events, a concept we first explored in 2019, built around the idea that experiences can be both meaningful and memorable when culture, storytelling, and food come together. While that momentum paused in 2020, the vision remained — and this dinner was a powerful reintroduction.
In collaboration with Chef Brian Palumbo, the evening blended culinary artistry with cultural storytelling — from symbolic breads and seafood courses to traditional zeppole and the sharing of St. Joseph’s Table rituals.
Guests didn’t simply attend a dinner — they became part of the tradition. Through moments like the breaking of bread, candle lighting, and the sharing of symbolic take-home elements, the experience created a deeper connection to heritage, community, and one another.
The response was overwhelmingly positive and reaffirmed what we’ve always believed: people are seeking meaningful experiences.
This is just the beginning. MARQUEE looks forward to continuing to grow Signature Events and offering more culturally inspired experiences in the near future.
Viva San Giuseppe!
